Camp Bagong Diwa, Metro Manila, Philippines --- Today May 18, 2010 marks my more than five months in detention.
After the May 10 Philippine national election end recently, we hope to see a different nation, free of corruption from different sectors of society - politicians, businessmen and media people. These are the three sources of evil that have bedevilled our democratic system for so long a time.
Today is Tuesday, I woke up around 7:30 a.m. to stare from the window in search for some sunlight and fresh air. Just like any other morning since my incarceration, I looked forward to feeding the chickens outside sharing with my allocated bread from the detention center.
I recounted the day I was arrested by the Interpol officials after filing a criminal complaint against Manuel Pangilinan (SBP President) at the Makati City Court for falsification of documents related to a Philippine basketball issue that centered on the merger of BAP-SBP known as the Bangkok Agreement, which eventually was not respected by the signatories and other parties.
Worse, Patrick Baumann, the FIBA Secretary General who initiated the merger of BAP-SBP on February 4, 2007, treacherously reported to the FIBA Central Board during a March 2-3, 2007 meeting that the national basketball federation in the Philippines was to be known as only “SBP”.
That is why I have accused Baumann, a racist who bullies the weak and feeds his family with money derived from illegal sources, of conspiracy and manipulation.
Baumann managed to gain support from his big daddy, Borislav Stankovic, who himself is part of the conspiracy. They conspired to have the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP), which has been with the FIBA since 1936, stripped of its membership.
The wicked insatiable lust for power and money is well known in the FIBA circles.
