Seato Andrade Gonimil succumbed to a massive heart attack last April 15 while taking a walk with his friend Renato (Jack) Vidal of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) at the Burham Park in Baguio City, Cordillera Administrative (CAR) Region. He was 57.
At the time of his death, Gonimil was the Assistant Secretary General for Luzon Affairs of the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) and the Secretary General of Universities and Colleges Athletic Association of Pangasinan (UCAAP) in Dagupan City, Pangasinan province of Region 1.
Senator Antonio F. Trillanes IV, the president of the BAP, and David Ong, President of FESSAP, have extended his condolence to the family of Gonimil, who left behind wife Mila Zabala Gonimil and their six children, Ginger, Pepper, Kit, Dimple, Sunshine and Mikee.
Graham C. Lim, the FESSAP's Secretary General, also expressed sadness over the demise of Gonimil. "We will miss our comrade dearly," said Lim.
Gonimil was laid to rest last April 21 in Dagupan City.
